KICHO-园位于岩木山的马蹄形苹果种植带中。岩木山是一座被誉为“津轻富士”的美丽层状火山,其山麓广泛分布着由火山灰形成的黑壤土(Andosol)。黑壤土具有良好的保水性,同时兼具优异的排水性与通气性,有助于苹果根系的健康发育。此外,山体所涵养的清澈伏流水和涌泉可被稳定利用,而冬季厚厚的积雪则成为土壤的天然保温层,缓解根系所受的严寒压力。再加上坡地地形带来的秋季昼夜温差,有效促进了苹果的着色和品质提升。岩木山所孕育的这种独特的‘土壤、水、雪’三者协同效应,正是支撑 KICHO-園苹果种植的关键。

 

KICHO-en is located within the horseshoe-shaped “apple growing belt” that stretches along the foothills of Mt. Iwaki. Known as the “Tsugaru Fuji,” Mt. Iwaki is a beautiful stratovolcano whose slopes are widely covered with fertile volcanic ash soil (Andosol). This black soil retains water well, while also providing excellent drainage and aeration, allowing the trees to grow steadily without excessive vigor and to bear fruit with high sugar content.  The mountain’s abundant underground and spring water, naturally filtered through its layers, offers a stable supply of pure water. In winter, the deep snow cover serves as an insulating layer, protecting the roots from extreme cold stress. Furthermore, the sloped terrain brings large temperature differences between day and night in autumn, enhancing both the coloration and quality of the apples.  The unique synergy of soil, water, and snow created by Mt. Iwaki forms the foundation of KICHO-en’s apple growing.

HISTORY

從果園眺望八甲田山  "Mt. Hakkōda, rising beyond the orchard"

KICHOー园的起源可以追溯到约80年前的1947年。在战时,片山寿男先生自冈山县疏散至青森县大鹤(大鰐),并创立了大鹤青果株式会社,这是KICHOー园故事的开端。随后,第二代片山信光先生于1955年开设了苹果果园,为事业奠定了坚实的基础。如今,第三代传人片山寿伸先生携手一位志同道合的年轻人——来自千叶县船桥市、移居至弘前市高杉的27岁青年蟻田陆,共同开启了全新的KICHOー园。
「KICHO」这一名称蕴含着三层深意:
吉兆  象征美好与希望的征兆
 ・  輝昶  寓意阳光升起、前途光明
貴重 珍贵无比、不可替代的存在
KICHO园珍视前人传承的历史与精神,始终秉持“不断向前”的理念,探索能够延续至下一代的农业模式。我们重视可持续的种植方式,强调与地方社会的共生共荣,并致力于打造联结未来的农业新愿景。

The roots of KICHO-en trace back about 80 years to 1947, when Hisao Katayama, who had been evacuated from Okayama to Ōwani during the war, founded Ōwani Fruits Co., Ltd. Later, in 1955, the second generation, Nobumitsu Katayama, established an apple orchard and laid the foundation for the business. Today, the legacy continues with the third generation,  Hisanobu Katayama. Joining him is Riku Arita, a 27-year-old who moved from Funabashi, Chiba, to Takasugi in Hirosaki. Inspired by a shared vision, together they gave rise to what is now KICHO-en. The name “KICHO” embodies three meanings:  Kitchō (吉兆)  - a sign of good fortune, Kichō (輝昶)  - the rising of the sun, and Kichō (貴重)  - truly precious & irreplaceable. KICHO-en cherishes the history and spirit passed down by our predecessors, while always looking “forward” to explore a model of agriculture that can be handed on to the next generation. We place great importance on sustainable cultivation methods and on living in harmony with the local community.
